Neuro In Nature CIC - BL8, Bury, UK
The mission of Neuro In Nature CIC is to support the well-being of individuals and families living with long-term neurological conditions across the Greater Manchester area.
Having recently trained as a Forest Therapy practitioners, we are really excited about the research around the power of nature to regulate the nervous system, manage attentional processes and support physical and emotional wellbeing. We were struck by how the benefits of forest therapy map onto the evidence based therapeutic approaches we are already using in our Clinical Neuropsychology work.
Providing therapies in outdoor natural environments through a CIC means we can attempt to address issues around access to Clinical Neuropsychology, using any profits made in the service to provide therapies to those who may otherwise not receive support, including carer and family support. This initiative allows us to combine our passions for nature, neuropsychological therapies and improving access to evidence based therapies. See the website
Ava Maginnis - Bristol, UK
I have extensive experience delivering Forest Therapy through The Human Nature Project which began in 2020. In addition, I now teach the Forest Therapist Practitioner Training programme for Light Box.
I have been facilitating nature connection experiences in a wide range of settings since 2015 after training in Outdoor Leadership with Wildwise at Schumacher College, UK.
My expertise in facilitating wellbeing through connection with the natural world is built upon over a decade of work in mental health and I am currently training in counselling and psychotherapy, which further supports my Forest Therapy Practice.
I believe holistic health lies in the relationships we encounter with ourselves, each other and the world we experience. Well facilitated Forest Therapy Practice can strengthen those relationships, leaving us feeling more at ease, resilient and revitalised.
Please get in touch if you would like to know how I can facilitate the benefits of Forest Therapy for you or your organisation.
Mel - Bristol, UK
Radical Nature is a small Bristol based CIC which aims to increase access to the physical and emotional benefits of nature therapy.
Mental health challenges are increasing in our population and yet despite evidence that being in nature can have significant benefits, many people struggle to access nature.
We are breaking down barriers to people benefiting from nature by organising events, raising awareness and distributing resources.
Our goal is to empower people to see themselves as part of nature, to feel connected to it, take responsibility for protecting it and reduce the divide between humans and other species.

Ecotherapy54 - Bolton, UK
At Ecotherapy54, I bring my expertise as a qualified counsellor, alongside my experience working within the NHS, to apply my skills in combination with forest therapy. This approach promotes mental health and personal development by integrating evidence-based therapeutic techniques with the healing power of nature. I take a holistic approach to therapy, considering all aspects of life, including sleep, diet, movement, connectivity, and purpose, to support lasting wellbeing.
In 1:1 sessions, I provide personalised guidance, integrating therapeutic techniques with nature-based practices to encourage mindfulness, emotional healing, and self-reflection. For group therapy, I create a nurturing space where participants engage in shared activities such as mindfulness walks, creative exercises, and discussions that foster connection and personal growth.
This comprehensive approach helps clients reconnect with themselves and the world around them, reducing stress and building resilience. By combining evidence-based counselling methods with the restorative power of nature, I empower individuals to embrace healthier lifestyles, strengthen their emotional wellbeing, and find deeper meaning and purpose in their lives.
Shahleeni - London, UK
As Senior Assistant Principal City at London Academy Southwark, Director of Nature Led Confidence, and a DISC certified, accredited performance coach, I am passionate about nature, education and personal development.
In my work I have seen the transformational benefits of young people becoming more attuned to the natural environment, in particular the beneficial impact it has on their mindset. I have observed how connecting with nature reliably promotes greater perspective and wisdom, reduces reactivity and cultivates courage even in those who are facing great challenges.
It’s my belief that the ability to be still, in our society, is a lost art, and without it we are ill-equipped to face the many challenges that life presents us with. So many of us have become out of alignment; with our needs, with each other and with nature. I work alongside people as they gain the knowledge and skills to address this pressing issue.
